It's so amazing that it's been 3 years since my angel has come into my life. I always knew I was going to be a mom and when Reagan was born, I never was scared. Not for a minute, I was ready to start the adventure and meet her.
My labor with Reagan was a pretty big ordeal. I guess you could say she wasn't ready to come out then. Mike and I went to the hospital on the 24th to be induced. After about 8 hours, and only dilating to 1 cm, they sent us home to return the next day. So we went back at 5:30 the next morning for more. My water finally broke at 11:15 that morning, we were thinking, any minute now I'd have her. So I labored, labored, labored and labored. Finally about 2 am or so, I was at 10 cm and ready to push. Again we thought any minute now. Nope! I pushed for about 4 hours and she just wouldn't come out. So it was about then we all decided it would be best for a C-Section. I was prepped and drugged and at 8:31 am Reagan arrived. Finally!!
I heard her first cry and tears just started rolling down my face, I hadn't even seen her yet and I already knew I loved her! The doctor yelled it's a girl! And although we knew it was a girl, I was always afraid she was a boy and we'd have to hurry and buy all boy stuff and get rid of the pink things we had just bought, could you imagine?
So when they announced it was a girl, I had to ask-"are you sure?"
The nurse took her to the station to clean her up and said, "this baby has a dimple." Amazing they'd notice it then. I only got to see her for a minute or so and they took her while I stayed to be stitched up. Not too long after we were reunited and have been together ever since.
Even though that was 3 years ago, I remember those days like it was yesterday. This little girl has changed my life so dramatically in the last 3 years. She has made me want to be a better mom, woman and person all around. She makes me smile and laugh all the time and I love watching her grow into a beautiful young lady.
Reagan you are my world. I would do anything for you and you are loved so much. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love. Happy Birthday Sugar!
