The Athen Family- Phoenix Family Photographer

Friday, November 29, 2013

Did you all have a great Turkey day yesterday?  I am still trying to get out of this Turkey Coma.  We had a great time yesterday.  I love days like that where you just spend it with family.  Catching up, quality time!  Although I do really wish the day wouldn't go by so quickly.  I guess that means it gives us reasons to look forward to the next great day.

I am an editing machine today.  Since I got a little break yesterday I am trying really hard to keep getting these wonderful families their sessions out.  I'd like to introduce you to the Athen Family.  Sweet little Oliver and Lydia were a delight and no one seemed to let a few sprinkles get in the way of these adorable pictures.  Really well behaved kiddos and to top it off, so happy and adorable.  I couldn't have asked for anything more!!

Ok- seriously a little one has stolen my heart and his name is Kolten.  Oh this little smile just lights me up.  He just is too cute for words.  When I first met Kolten, he was a little stranger scared of me.  His little bottom lip came out really far and he just looked at his mom.  Luckily he warmed up to me pretty quickly and never stopped smiling.  Even editing their pictures I can't help but smile right back at him!  Adorable!

The Steltenpohl Family- Phoenix Family Photographer

I came home after shooting this weekend and Mike had rearranged our living room.  He had been home with the kiddos while I was out shooting and got a "decorating bug."  Who knows?  My DIY craziness must have some effect on him.  He was pretty proud of his set up and kept trying to convince me how it was "more open" and "better for entertaining."  Not that we do a lot of entertaining. :)
The kids must have had their input as well because they were pretty excited as well to show off their creation.  So I guess we will leave the new room for a bit.
I will admit I like the changes.  But I'm only admitting them to you, I can't let him know.  You know he'll just rub it in. :)

So I am happy to share another sweet family with you this year.  The Steltenpohl Family.  These kiddos are so stinkin easy to take pictures of.  They are both so adorable and so well behaved.  Double points for making my job so easy!  I love seeing how big all the kiddos have grown each year.

The Klocke Family

Wednesday, November 06, 2013

We watched a funny segment on Jimmy Kimmel this week where he asked parents to video tape telling their small kids that they had eaten all of their Halloween candy the night before.  These little kids were just devastated and cried their little eye balls out.  It was the saddest yet funniest thing I have ever seen.  I felt so bad for these little ones.  One little girl actually cried... "I spent 2 hours walking around the entire neighborhood for that candy." Poor thing.. she has a point.  Luckily the parents were only joking but I tell you what, if the chocolate companies don't stop making mini Kit Kat's I am going to be telling my kids that same thing but for real.  Seriously I can't stop eating them!  UGH!  Help me!

The Klocke Family have added another addition to their family this year.  What a sweet little man he is and he seems to fit so nicely into the group.    He is such a smiley baby and has quite the personality.  These three little ones just make me smile.  Cal and Peyton (the twins) thought it was so funny when I kept calling them "pumpkin."  It's a thing in our house so it doesn't phase my kids much but it cracks me up how many times they caught me saying it.
