Catlett/Jones Maternity Session- Chandler Maternity Photographer

Sunday, April 20, 2014

So I rarely get sick.  Seriously it's been years since I have had the flu but this past week, was one of those times.  I didn't get the flu but I got a horrible sinus infection that left me on the couch for about 3 days.  I have lost my voice which usually happens when I get sick and I bet the hubby likes that but I am on the road to be back to the living.

I am playing catch up today and working on an adorable maternity session for a fun sweet family!  They have a little girl on the way to add to their little bunch.  Their house will be full but mostly full of love and laughter!  I am looking forward to meeting her!

Here are a few from the session.

Waiting for Claire

Kids are funny sometimes.  They don't hold anything back.  They are truthful and you just have to deal with it sometimes.  The other night we were sitting at dinner, Hunter said..." Dad, you're growing white hair right there." He pointed to Mike's beard.  Mike just looked at me and I busted up laughing.  Mike is sensitive about his "white hair" in his beard.  I find it very attractive.  I keep calling him my Silver Fox!  Which he totally hates and gives me "the look."

Anne and Hinsby are expecting little Miss Claire soon.  It was really hot during her session and I felt so bad for her but she was such a trooper.  Hinsby is from Peru, so it was interesting to hear about where he is from.  I am sure Claire will grow up learning about so many cultures.

I can't wait to meet little miss Claire and I am sure she will soon enough give them her "truthful" thoughts as well!

Congrats Anne and Hinsby!!

Awaiting Hudson

Saturday, August 24, 2013

I get only a few weekends a year that we don't have a baseball game, or volleyball game or birthday party or a photo shoot.  This morning someone asked me what we had planned to do this weekend... and with a smile, I replied..."nothing!".  Weekends like this come so rare in our family.  We are usually running around all weekend long trying to make the next event, and then the event after that, and more after that.
I actually got to work on a DIY project today which was so nice.  It'll be on the Hankful House Blog I have.  It's like a little therapy session for me.  I love concentrating on things like that.  My mind just moves focus and all else is gone.
The weather today has been some what nice which let me tell you, lately... not so much.  I am in full readiness for the fall weather.  I am beyond sick of the heat, ugh.  Enough is enough.

I had  2 maternity sessions this past week and the sun was boiling.  I can't complain too much because I was not the one carrying around a little baby.  It was pretty hot and I would imagine I didn't look so fabulous sweating out there in the sun.  Yikes!

I am so excited to post this for Kathleen and Conner.  I shot their wedding last summer and fell in love with this couple.  They are so sweet and seeing them grow their family is just wonderful!

So this next image, I wish I could take credit for, but another photographer I am guessing wrote this sweet little message on the stairs and so we used it.  It's adorable!  Thank you to whoever did it before we got there!

Hudson will make his debut in September and I am so excited to meet him.  I'll be taking some pictures of him right after he is born so stay tuned for that little sweet bundle!

Congrats Kathleen and Conner!  I can't wait to meet Hudson!

Expecting Rayleigh

Thursday, March 01, 2012

Can you believe we are in March already? My goodness I feel like we just took our Christmas lights down. I was kind of hoping January and February of this year might be spent cleaning out my closets and organizing the house and boy I am trying but it hasn't been "the slow season" like in years past. It's awesome to have the business coming in but my messy closets are still staring at me every day yelling "Clean me!!" :) Oh I guess I'll get to them one day. I think it'll just be one of those permanent fixtures on my to-do list.

In trying to organize the business a little bit and I forgot I hadn't posted this next session so I thought I would give you all the joy in seeing this adorable baby bump. In just about 2 weeks, Ashley and Ritchie will get to meet their new little baby girl Rayleigh. I am super excited and can't wait to bring you pictures of her. The anticipation of wanting to meet her is killing me! :)
