A few weeks ago we thought it would be nice to take the kiddos up north. Right around the beginning of October it's still kind of hot and we just need to beat the heat. So we took some good friends up there with us. The weather was just awesome. The fall colors are starting to come in which is so nice since we really only see brown here in the desert. We ended up stopping at a farm on the way home and let the kids have a little fun. We even decided it would be smart to get lost in the corn maze. Really so much fun!!! ( Can you hear my sarcasm. Actually it was pretty funny, but really amazing how lost you can totally get in one of those. I love days like that, they are relaxing, they are fun, they get you away, most importantly they are simple! And I just love that!

Baby Emma Turns 1!!!

I was so excited to photograph little Miss Emma! I can't believe she is already 1. It's amazing to see her grow the last year especially when I first met her she was in the NICU and so tiny. Her sweet little knee cap was about the size of my thumb nail. Her head was the size of an orange. She had these cool little baby sunglasses on to protect her eyes. Her little body was working around the clock to get better. Now being around her you would never know any different. She's feisty, she's funny and boy does she love her cake :) It was a great way to spend an afternoon with Emma to document such a special milestone. Here is Emma's slideshow!

Introducing "Every Day Life" Portrait Sessions

How long does it take you to get ready for your family session every year? How many outfit changes do you make, how many color combinations do you make for everyone? Sometimes we stress ourselves out for our family pictures. And in the end they come out awesome and the hard work pays off but sometimes I am sure you are like me and just want to take it easy for once. Here's a nice alternative to that session. It's also a nice alternative to those hot hot summer days when you just want to stay inside.
Take it easy and capture what your family really is like. The things you love to do together, maybe board games, or cooking, playing the Wii, riding bikes, reading, crafts, hanging out. Whatever you do that makes your family yours, let's capture that. Your kids are only young once so let's celebrate the craziness of your every day life, the moments that make life and your family come together!

Expecting Rayleigh

Can you believe we are in March already? My goodness I feel like we just took our Christmas lights down. I was kind of hoping January and February of this year might be spent cleaning out my closets and organizing the house and boy I am trying but it hasn't been "the slow season" like in years past. It's awesome to have the business coming in but my messy closets are still staring at me every day yelling "Clean me!!" :) Oh I guess I'll get to them one day. I think it'll just be one of those permanent fixtures on my to-do list.

In trying to organize the business a little bit and I forgot I hadn't posted this next session so I thought I would give you all the joy in seeing this adorable baby bump. In just about 2 weeks, Ashley and Ritchie will get to meet their new little baby girl Rayleigh. I am super excited and can't wait to bring you pictures of her. The anticipation of wanting to meet her is killing me! :)
