On March 25, I shot Patricia and Johnny's Engagement session at the Japanese Friendship Garden. Until they had suggested it, I had no idea this park existed in Phoenix. It was so beautiful, so calming and so serene. Johnny works down the street and apparently goes there quite a bit for lunch which I can imagine is a very relaxing lunch. The park has a huge pond with tons of Koi you can feed, it also has a lot of Japanese statues, plants and grass. There is a main Teahouse that you can have a Japanese Tea Ceremony in. I hope I can attend again just to be able to show Michael and the kids and maybe we can have tea there as well. It was beautiful.
My first meeting with Patricia was just with her, so I met Johnny for the first time at their Engagement Session. He took me around the park and explained some things about the Koi, plants etc that he had learned from visiting there quite often.
I know they were both a little uncomfortable at first being photographed so much which all couples are but I think we still had a great time and thought their pictures came out really cute! Their wedding is in May and I'm sure it will be here before we all know it. Watch out for that post soon!
