Lisha and Jason were married on June 9th in Catalina Island. I was really excited to post this wedding. Lisha is a good friend of our friends Challice and Jen. In fact Challice and Jen's wedding was the first wedding I shot. And Challice is my daughter's Godfather. I've known Lisha for awhile and was really excited to shoot their wedding. I had never been to Catalina Island and I was really excited to go. Since they were friends of ours I knew a lot of guests at the wedding which always makes it so much more fun. I feel like I'm a guest at the wedding instead of actually working.
The setting was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Nothing is nicer than having the ocean in the background for your wedding.
Lisha's Dad had a stroke a couple years back and although he wasn't able to walk her down the isle, he still was there to give her away. Her son Robert was a great fill in and really filled some big shoes and walked her down.
During the ceremony where the officiant says the "speak now or forever hold your piece" bit, all the groomsmen huddled together to talk and make sure they were a good match. When they were absolutely sure, they put their hands in the circle and they yelled "Lisha" and walked back and stood in line. It was really funny. Also during the garter toss, all the groomsmen were standing there until he threw the garter and they bolted living a youngster to have it all to himself.
I really had a great time at their wedding and were so honored they asked me to join them in Catalina Island to capture their big day. Thank you so much Lisha and Jason, I wish you a lifetime of happiness. Check out their slideshow here, password is Bowman. A view of Catalina Island

"The slide show and blog you wrote was unbelivable. It really touched my heart. The pictures turned out beautiful and made me relive each moment again. After all the stress of putting everything together for the wedding the pictures make me want to do it all over again. :) Thank you for everything!"- Lisha Walker
