My parents are the happiest I think I have ever seen them. I think they hit a time in their lives where they really wanted to enjoy life and do things they had always wanted. To make their weekends a time for relaxation instead of stressful like we all do. They wanted to explore, be adventurous, even break their leg on the latest white water rafting adventure-DAD!
Anyhoo, their latest adventure was purchasing a motor home. They are super excited about it and wanted something they could take up to the mountains, hang out with no TV, no noise except the sound of their quads running and just take a nice weekend with family and friends.
I packed up the kids a few weeks ago to drive up with them to Payson which is about 2 1/2 hours from Phoenix. It's a small quaint town that is beautiful and has wonderful weather.
Reagan was so excited to go "camping". I think she has seen a lot of camping things on tv and is interested. Of course since her daddy is a New Yorker, he considers camping staying in a hotel. :)
When I was little my grandpa had a motorhome. We always would go and stay with him at the lake and hang out. It was so relaxing and we just had a great time. They are some of my fondest memories growing up. All the girls in the family would play cards inside the motorhome for hours and hours. We'd going skiing, BBQ, take walks and just hang out. I really hope that Reagan and Hunter are given the same kind of memories with their grandparents motorhome.
Hunter playing in the dirt of course
I'm not sure if he is eating cheetos or dirt here. hmmmm...
A little stroll down the road
Here we are driving in the motorhome- of course the DVD is all set. You can't drive 2 1/2 hours with out the kids DVD
